Calvary Chapel of Honolulu shares that concern.Ī person’s most formative time of growth is during the Kindergarten and early Elementary schools years. May God richly bless you as you collaborate with us in this ministry to our precious children. The position of Calvary Chapel is to assist parents, and not to replace them. We are firmly committed to helping families grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ by providing direction, tools and encouragement for parents in their role of raising their children for the Lord. If your child is ill, or for some other reason cannot attend Sunday School, they may sit with you in the Courtyard where we have TV monitors set up under cover by the Bookstore. It is a comfortable chamber, complete with TV monitor, allowing for privacy, while still maintaining a connection with the service. At the same time, this will provide for a setting in the Sanctuary in which the adults can worship the Lord and have time to learn without distraction, so that, among other things, they might be better equipped to raise their children.Īt the back of the Sanctuary, we have provided a room for moms to use during the months in which they are caring for newborns and infants. We feel the best way we can serve the whole family is by providing a good quality Children’s Ministry – one which teaches our kids at a level they can more easily understand. What about kids in the Sanctuary during service? We want to provide our children with a wonderful place in which they can worship and learn about Jesus. Provide for a safe, healthy environment. ![]() This is why we have made a great effort to: Calvary Chapel Honolulu realizes that this is a difficult job, but we are committed to coming alongside parents in training their children. It is the parent who will one day have to give an account of how well they handled the task. God has ordained the church into existence, yet He commanded parents to be responsible for their children’s growth. Whose responsibility is it to see that they grow? It is His desire that they would grow in the knowledge of Him. The Bible clearly teaches that God loves children and is concerned with their welfare. MINISTRY CONTACT PASTOR ANTHONY BONILLA Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14).
